In brief, extrusion is the pressing of a fluid mass through a moulding plate, followed by cooling, after which the product is cut to size. The production of corrugated tubes is a special type of extrusion. In that process, a smooth tube is given ring-shaped ribs. An extruder, a mould (with or without a calibrator) and a sequential line are required for the extrusion process. |
